    LEARN THE ART OF BARREL CUISINE  as a Wild Earth Sous Chef. 

    Wild Earth Kitchen and Cellar Door are on the hunt for an Experienced Sous Chef to learn the art of Barrel Cuisine. We also are looking for Experienced Front of House Waitstaff.

    Our way of cooking provides a truly unique dining experience, showcasing fresh New Zealand cuisine coupled with some of Central Otago’s award winning Wild Earth wines. Our food is cooked in old Pinot Noir wine barrels and is steamed and smoked to enhance the flavour of our ingredients.

    We are looking for someone who would relish the challenge of utilising their skills in this unique and dynamic environment: You must be willing to work both in the busy restaurant kitchen and off-site at catering events throughout New Zealand. You will be reporting to the Head Chef. Our restaurant is currently open Monday – Sunday from 10am to 5pm and your shifts will be rostered over a 7 day a week basis.

    The successful applicant should possess a passion for wine and food and be willing to learn about our pairings and unique style of cooking wild & local foods. The position on offer will suit someone who can be flexible with their hours and can help with some light kitchen duties and work off-site catering events at busy times of the year. You will need to be fluent in English and have your own transport and hold a full driver’s licence.

    We also are looking for Experienced Front of House Waitstaff for our busy Restaurant, as well as Waitstaff for our off-site Catering Department.  We have a lot of very exciting changes coming up for Wild Earth in the next few months and will need these extra team members to help cater for our growing business.

    Applicants for these positions are required to have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
