This wine is sourced from the famous Felton Road subregion of Bannockburn. The vines are grown on steep slopes which assists in capturing additional sun while draining away any moisture that leads to unwanted frost. The schist-derived soils bring a balance of strength and minerality to the wine.
The juice was inoculated with a selected wine yeast and cold fermented in stainless steel to retain the varietal's fruit characteristics. The fermentation was stopped, allowing the wine to retain around 6g/L residual sugar.

“Lime oil aromas. Racy acidity with notes of green apple and citrus on the palate. Fresh, pure wine with a dry finish”

"Bottle age has begun to mellow this quite classic Central Otago Riesling. Citrus, lime, floral and mineral flavours have begun to integrate as the wine develops a slightly toasty character. A dry style with attractive fruity acidity. Drink 2016 to 2020"

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"This fabulous riesling is just starting to show some bottle matured complexity, displaying mandarin, lemon zest, floral and toasty characters on the nose, followed by a juicy palate that is taut and finely textured with an impressively long, crisp finish". 5 stars, 94 points
